Unsere Kärntner Lieder
The typical carinthian song

For the Carinthian, singing means immersing himself in a special sound experience and becoming his elixir of life. It is not for nothing that Carinthia is called the „Land of Songs“ and the „Country of Singers“. Paolo Santonino, a nobleman from Umbria who came to Carinthia as the secretary of the bishop of Caorle, wrote about it in his travel diaries as early as 1485.
Today there are over 600 Carinthian Choirs, that cultivate and pass on the cultural heritage of the Carinthian Song.
